Description:
The St. Croix Correctional Center (SCCC), located in the city of New Richmond, was styled into the Challenge Incarceration Program (CIP) in January 1991. Construction was originally completed in 1994, with an expansion added in 2014. A modular structure was also built in 2003 to house female offenders in separate dormitories. SCCC's current operating capacity is 120 adult male inmates and 12 female inmates. The center is part of the Wisconsin Correctional Center System, an "institution" comprised of 14 adult, male correctional centers overseen by a single warden whose office is centrally located in Madison
